About the project
GRIS stands for Grens Registratie Informatie Systeem, a border registration information system. It is the app the Rotterdam Seaport Police use to query the European Entry/Exit System (EES) and create new EES records, enabling flexible border crossing in the seaport.
EES is the digital European system that registers the entry and exit of travellers from outside the EU, instead of stamps in their passport. GRIS brings that registration to border control in the port.
